So Steve and I chatted today about fall suits and how far they have come.  There were points not to long ago where we would be wearing 5mm suits at this point.  But thanks to new rubber technology you may not need your “Winter Suit” for another 2 months easy….   So here are the top picks for Fall Rubber (all this info works for spring too) from the two BEST wetsuit companies in the Surf Industry!!! Ripcurl Picks

Suit: E-Bomb 4.5/3.5 Hooded- The E Bomb provides the Ultimate in stretch and durability. E4 rubber throughout with E4+ action panels and E4 seam tape.  I love the E-Bomb line and have multiple E-Bombs in different thicknesses.  The suits are flexible, warm, and easy to get on and off.  Having the 4.5 mm in the core with the full time hood allows me to push this suit into the low 40s and still stay warm. Last year I wore this suit into January. Great suit, great value!

Boots: Rubber Soul Plus 5mm Split toe- Can’t say enough good things about these boots.  The Rubber Soul Series is dipped in Liquid Neoprene creating the Ultimate in seam sealing technology. The result? More warmth, durability, flexibility and simplicity and it’s true.  5mms that are warm like 7mms, I wore these all last winter with no cold toes.  I also love that there are no straps and they are the easiest boots to put on and take off.

Gloves: Rubber Soul 2mm – The Rubber Soul Series is dipped in Liquid Neoprene creating the Ultimate in seam sealing technology. The result? More warmth, durability, flexibility and simplicity. As warm as 3mms but feels like you only have 1.5 mms on…

O’neill Picks

In fact if you were only going to have one suit this would be it. You could easily surf about 9 months out of the year with just this one suit. One of my all time favorites, there is always one in my quiver.

Boots: Oneill Heat 5mm Round Toe- Comfy, warm, and bullet proof. A simple straight forward boot that will deliver without breaking the bank.

Gloves: O’neill Psycho 3mm- This glove has got to be our all time best seller.  Great dexterity and durability results in a glove that will last and round out a great fall and spring set up!
