INTRODUCING THE ALOHA BEAN, A QUIVER OF ONE FOR NH
The Bean is essentially a hybrid model offering an exciting alternative to riding more traditional shortboard designs. Appropriately named, the Bean has a full nose template and added width through the centre which transitions smoothly into a tail outline typical of a standard shortboard. The Bean is very comparable to the Lost Squash-it which essentialy combines a Rocket nose with a more traditional squash tail.
The unique shape of the Bean, combined with the relaxed full-length rocker profile, provides a platform for efficient paddling, quick start-up acceleration, and flow in fuller waves. The Bean also delivers exceptional performance in bigger conditions, proving the true versatility of this model. If you like having a one board quiver of your looking for your first board the Bean is one to consider!
Fast and full of spark as a thruster or a quad; the Bean offers acrobatic performance in the smaller sizes, and reliability in the higher volume sizes. As a general rule you can ride the Bean 3-to-6 inches shorter than your regular shortboard.
The boards are available in multiple constructions and multiple sizes:
POLYURETHANE/EPOXY TECHNOLOGY. PE construction combines a polyurethane foam core with high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using fiberglass cloth and an exclusive epoxy resin. Epoxy resin is used in PE construction for two important reasons. One, to reduce the rate of yellowing and discoloration of the board and two, our exclusive epoxy is more flexible than polyester and maintains the lively flex pattern typically associated with a new board.
All PE boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand. These boards are light, have incredible acceleration and speed, and feel remarkably sensitive under your feet.
FUTUREFLEX TECHNOLOGY
FutureFlex represents the very latest in surfboard technology and design. The construction process combines a stringerless, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.
The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance of these boards. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twisting, FutureFlex boards essentially store and release energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. The result is a fast and lively, highly responsive surfboard that’s perfectly geared for high performance surfing.
TRADITIONAL POLYESTER OR PU TECHNOLOGY
Polyester or PU construction uses traditional materials and laminating techniques to produce a strong, reliable surfboard with high quality finishes. All polyester boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand using quality components such as Hexcel fiberglass, Silmar resin and Bennett foam.
For years traditional polyester boards have been at the forefront of performance surfing. These boards feature a progressive flex pattern controlled by a high-grade timber stringer and feel very reliable under your feet. Polyester construction will perform in all surf conditions and can be adapted to suit a wide variety of surfboard models.
